Koh Lan (Thai: เกาะ ล้าน - Bald Island) is a small coral island about 7.5 kilometers west of Pattaya. She can be reached by speedboat or a ferry. The ferry ride takes 45 minutes, the speedboat takes only about 15 minutes. Ko Lan has several beaches, for its fine sand and its cleanliness are known. The water is much clearer thanks to the ocean currents than in the Bay of Pattaya. The noise pollution is very high because of the numerous jet skis and boats. Even the coral reefs through tourism and coral bleaching have been affected.
